OUR 2022/2023 Season

Concert 2: Saturday 4th March 2023, 7.30pm at All Saints’ Church, Marlow

On Saturday 4th March the singers of the Camerata Consort join the Chiltern Camerata, conducted by Simon Walton, in a soul-stirring performance of Handel’s Messiah – one of the best-loved choral works of all time. This work has thrilled audiences for over 250 years and brought us the Hallelujah chorus which may well be the most well-known single item of classical music.

Featuring wonderfully uplifting choruses and arias such as The trumpet shall sound; He shall feed his flock; and I know that My Redeemer Liveth, The Messiah tells the big story of Christ’s birth, crucifixion and resurrection – a true enlightenment story for us all. Whatever your faith or beliefs, come along and enjoy this fabulous music which does exactly what Handel wanted it to do: for us to leave the venue as better people. It is truly uplifting music! Please do come. We look forward to seeing you.
